Our Story
Inspired Experience
When my husband was in the service, the Army always had a space for moms, dads, or grandparents to take children so they could work, do schoolwork, or socialize while the children played. When our first child Riley was born, I made friends and created a community by going to The Java on the Baumholder Germany military base. They had a specific child play area that made it easy to relax and socialize and also let your children explore.
I could not believe Jonesboro had nothing similar when we moved here in 2020 to be closer to family and settle down. It was right after a horrific tornado and in the middle of the pandemic. After welcoming our second child Asher into the world, I struggled getting out with an infant and having a space to meet other moms. Whenever I would go out with him, I wound up just chasing Asher around to keep him safe — and not being able to sit down and get to know the moms I was meeting with. I needed some place where he could crawl around, and I could also socialize.
That’s when the idea of Little Lattes was born. I decided to open a play cafe to bring events (lactation classes, birthing classes, mom groups, etc.) and a sense of community to Jonesboro that I had previously enjoyed as a military spouse.
Little Lattes is a safe space for parents, grandparents and children to socialize and play in a fun, clean environment. I’m very excited to bring something to Jonesboro that’s unique to the NEA area!
